This is a great little recorder for general purposes. Easy to understand text in playback and simple to use. For the money, you can't go wrong here. The fact it records on a full size tape is a plus for listening to cassettes in a car.

As a musician, I was in great need of a cassette player. They are hard to find in stores these days, so I was pleased to find this one among a good selection on Amazon.com. It's small, compact, simple, easy to use, and fits my needs just fine. And the price for what I needed was unbeatable. Thank you!

I bought this recorder for a friend serving a mission. He had it for only a month before the recorder stopped working. It refused to record or play the tapes he had. The sound quality on the only tape I received from him, was worbly and uneven. Most of the time, his voice sounded like a chipmunk. In a letter he explained that he would have to hit the tape recorder frequently to get it to run at a steady pace. I would recommend going with a Sony tape recorder instead of this one.
