Summary: Simple voice recorder 2010-08-30
Comment: This one works very well - you turn it on it records - very clearly. This is better audio than my cassette recorder. It only records in WMV but it is easy enough to convert to MP3 or just burn to CD.

Summary: Battery Door Problem 2010-08-16
Comment: The battery cover will not stay closed. No matter how careful one is in trying to hold it tight while sliding it closed, the cover pops right off the minute you let go of it. This is a shame, as the recorder has been used very little and was expected to last for a while. That is $49.99 down the drain.

For this reason, we chose a Sony product to replace this recorder, as most all the Olympus models have the exact same style of sliding cover.

Summary: don't buy planning on using the extended recording option. sound quality is awful 2010-07-09
Comment: I bought this because a friend said he uses one on his job and said it was a good product. My experiences are totally the opposite. The sound quality on the extended record is terrible. If you buy one of these, leave the sound quality set to "best" or you won't be able to understand anything on the recording. It was very easy to get the files from the recorder to your PC though.

Comment: I have used this recorder at my school which they provided. When I had to turn it in I decided to purchase my own. I went to a few local shops to price compare and found out I could save a bit more by purchasing online. I am again happy with my little recorder. I especially like being able to download it to my computer.

Summary: Dynamite Leap Into Ease In Recording 2010-06-06
Comment: This thing is so good, I told a friend about it and she plopped right down and ordered it. It is hundreds of hours of high quality recording, so easy. Two buttons, at most, and no tapes! Cheap at twice the price! I love this thing. I use it for dictation to myself as I am writing a novel. Wonderful. I highly recommend it to everyone.Olympus VN-5200PC Digital Voice Recorder
