High-priced accessory that should be included in cost of PCM-D50,

This windscreen is absolutely essential for routine use of the PCM-D50. I've used it to help ensure that vocal plosives are minimized and that I can record outdoors in moderately windy conditions. That said, there's no reason why what's essentially a fuzzy sock end should cost $50. But unless you can come up with alternative yourself, you'll need this accessory. Shame on Sony for not including it with this high-end digital recorder.

This windscreen kicks ass. I've used it in a large variety of settings from subways in Turkey to New England wharves. Highly recommended for anything outdoor (and sometimes indoor). Thanks!

Thank you, I needed this for recording interviews and wanted a higher end recorder and yet reasnonalby priced the product is performing well and the package came right away in perfect condition.
