Sony ICD-SX750 2 GB Flash Memory Digital Voice Recorder (Black)

I received this little jewel about a month ago. I will admit that when I opened the box it was in and opened the manual, I was a bit intimidated. But, after just a short amount of time using it, I am totally hooked on it's value. My commute is over an hour each way to and from work so I spend a lot of time behind the wheel with just my thoughts. It is so neat to be able to fire up this gizmo and put them down electronically. And today, I finally integrated it into Dragon NaturallySpeaking and was able to take my voice notes and turn them into Word Docs. Obviously, there was a bit of editing, but it sure was a lot faster than trying to remember what I said and typing it out. I highly recommend the Sony ICD-SX750.

I am using this great voice recoder for meetings at work, so much is said in meetings and on telecoms and I always wished I can re-listen to some portions.

I agree with a previous reviewer, I was a bit intimidated when I opened the box. But, very quickly realized how user friendly, and high quality it is. The size also is great, it fits easily in the hand and in my pocket.

----Here are the steps once you open the box:----
1 - Charge the batteris or simply put 2 of your own AAA batteries.
2 - Set up the date/time which blinks on the display automatically
3 - Test it by pushing "record", it automatically creats a file in folder 1.
4 - While recording, divide the recording into parts by pushing "Divide" button. It creats sequential files in the same folder.
5 - Once the recording is done, push play to play back and push erase to erase that file.

I used this to record two focus groups in hotel conference rooms with very noisy environments. The sound quality was really really good. highly recommended for group recordings.
