DP-008. It is very easy to start making recordings right away. You are going to have to make an effort to learn the device if you want to make a recording that sounds fancy but it is worth it. The device is very versatile and for the price, can't be beat. Also it is important to point out, if you are more comfortable doing the grunt work (editing) on a computer, the source tracks are easily transferable. Do not rely on the batteries, get the power chord, and a bigger memory card would be wise.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Tascam recording system. It's the best recorder I've ever owned. Great price!
